We work hard to provide you with the personal service you expect but may not find in larger banks. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insures all of our deposits. Deposit balances in excess of FDIC limits are insured by the Depositors Insurance Fund.
We offer an ever-expanding line of basic personal financial products. Our primary lending products are residential mortgage loans on owner-occupied properties located on Cape Ann. We offer a variety of loan programs tailored to your individual needs and budget. Our processing and underwriting guidelines are flexible and we provide prompt and professional service throughout the process. On the deposit side, we offer a variety of low-cost, interest-bearing checking accounts along with money market accounts, statement savings and passbook savings accounts, and certificates of deposit for terms ranging from three months to five years. Many of our mortgage programs are linked with an automatic payment from a Granite Savings Bank statement savings or checking account.
We hope that you find this site informative and that you will try our online banking service. Please stop by, call or E-mail us for information regarding our products and services. We look forward to meeting and talking with you soon.
All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money-market deposit accounts.
